Unwanted calls and texts in Arkansas: what the rules say
Arkansas residents can register landline or wireless numbers on the National Do Not Call Registry. The Arkansas Attorney General says the former state list was merged into the federal registry, and that registration can reduce sales calls covered by Do Not Call rules.
Where the rules draw a line
Do Not Call rules have exceptions, including certain prior business relationships, prior permission, and noncommercial or nonprofit calls. Registry protection is not call blocking and does not by itself establish a state-law claim for every call or text.
What this can mean for a consumer
Register at DoNotCall.gov and report a suspected violation to the FTC, FCC, or Arkansas Attorney General. Keep the caller number, date, time, and any message. This guide does not promise an individual damages award.
Keep the details
Save the full text thread, call log, voicemails, dates and times, the company or product named, and any reply asking the sender to stop. Those details can help show what happened; they do not establish by themselves that a law was violated.
