Unwanted calls and texts in Colorado: what the rules say
Colorado maintains a No-Call List for residential and wireless telephone subscribers who do not want covered sales solicitations. The Public Utilities Commission administers the program, and its consumer site provides registration and complaint options.
Where the rules draw a line
The cited No-Call Act is written around telephone solicitations to listed numbers. This guide does not extend that rule to every marketing text or prerecorded call. The list is coordinated with the Colorado portion of the federal registry; exceptions and other laws may apply.
What this can mean for a consumer
Check or register your number through the Colorado No-Call program and submit a complaint there if a covered sales call reaches you. The Attorney General investigates suspected violations reported to the PUC. This page does not state that a state penalty is paid to the person who received a call.
Keep the details
Save the full text thread, call log, voicemails, dates and times, the company or product named, and any reply asking the sender to stop. Those details can help show what happened; they do not establish by themselves that a law was violated.
