Unwanted calls and texts in Nevada: what the rules say

Nevada regulates telephone sales solicitations and prerecorded or automated sales calls. These provisions do not expressly cover SMS or MMS. Nevada also has a state Do Not Call registry, and listed-number rules generally begin after a 31-day period.

Where the rules draw a line

The Attorney General administers the list and may designate the federal registry for state use. A private remedy under the reviewed chapter is limited to certain older adults and people with disabilities who are injured.

What this can mean for a consumer

There is no general per-call consumer award in these provisions. The Attorney General can seek injunctions, restitution, and civil penalties; a bond remedy applies to limited seller-refund situations.

Keep the details

Save the full text thread, call log, voicemails, dates and times, the company or product named, and any reply asking the sender to stop. Those details can help show what happened; they do not establish by themselves that a law was violated.
