Unwanted calls and texts in Wyoming: what the rules say
Wyoming regulates some unsolicited telephone sales calls, including certain calls made with automated dialing or recorded messages. These provisions address calls; they do not expressly establish a general state rule for marketing texts.
Where the rules draw a line
Covered sales calls to consumers generally may not be made before 8 a.m. or after 8 p.m. at the consumer's local time. The statute contains exceptions, including calls requested by the consumer and some existing business relationships. Its Do Not Call provision refers to a specially defined list, so this summary does not equate that wording with a separate Wyoming registry.
What this can mean for a consumer
The Attorney General is the enforcing authority and may investigate and pursue statutory enforcement. The reviewed provisions do not clearly create a general consumer right to a fixed per-call payment; government penalties are not automatic payments to consumers.
Keep the details
Save the full text thread, call log, voicemails, dates and times, the company or product named, and any reply asking the sender to stop. Those details can help show what happened; they do not establish by themselves that a law was violated.
